How it all began

The story of the Bosch Service organization goes back to the early 1920s, when the first Robert Bosch fitting and repair shop opened Hamburg.

Back then, drivers did not have the faintest idea how to fit or replace the parts in their cars. To fill this gap, Bosch founded its comprehensive customer service organization.

By 1926 there were already 20 Bosch service centers in Germany, located by the key traffic hubs. Just four years later the first worldwide directory of Bosch service centers recorded 2,750 outlets in 78 countries.

The network expanded constantly. In 1992, the strategic five-digit mark was breached, with more than 10,000 auto service centers providing perfect customer services for Bosch products and systems under the Bosch Service brand.

Bosch Car Service and Bosch Diesel Service are independent outlets employing between five and fifty people who work their regional market as a Bosch partner.

As auto technology has advanced, the range of services provided has expanded markedly. Today Bosch Car Service offer competent all-round car servicing, using Bosch systems know-how and the highest quality standards.
